Columbus, Ohio, 4/12/2007 - Architects Saturday, a free open house of local architectural firms sponsored by AIA Columbus, is taking place on Saturday April 14, from noon to 4 p.m., in celebration of the 150th anniversary of The American Institute of Architects. Schooley Caldwell Associates is one of fourteen firms opening its doors to the public to experience and explore architecture, sustainability and livable communities.
During the open house, SCA will showcase its work as Architect-of-Record for the former Lazarus department store that served has been a Columbus landmark since the early 1900s. This LEED certified renovation is not only preparing the 1 million sq. ft. building for the next 100 years, but also giving it new life as a mixed-use structure.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to meet the people who design, construct, conserve and regenerate our built environment. For more details, please visit www.architectsaturday.org.
