Jayne M. Vandenburgh
Jayne is an interior designer and principal of Schooley Caldwell. She is responsible for program development, space planning, interior design, finish and furniture research, and specifications. Jayne’s involvement wtih projects begins during the programming phase, where her skill as a facilitator produces detailed and accurate building space needs programs; she serves as an advocate for the building users, ensuring that all functional needs are met by the final design.
She has led Schooley Caldwell’s team on many complex programming and space planning projects, and brings strong leadership and consensus building skills to projects with diverse user groups.
As part of the design team, Jayne is involved in developing the design philosophy and aesthetic vocabulary for the building and client. She assists in ensuring that all aspects of the design, down to the final furnishings are functional, affordable and aesthetically appropriate. Her extensive knowledge of today’s marketplace combined with her expertise in restoration work ensures success with interior renovations as well as in the design of new buildings.
Jayne is certified by the National Council of Interior Designers and is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She received a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from the American College of Lucerne. She has traveled extensively and served our country as a Peace Corps volunteer in Togo, West Africa, and is a member of the Green Lawn Abbey Preservation Association.
As if she doesn’t get enough design experience on job, Jayne always seems to have a project going on at home.
