Kalpa Baghasingh, AIA, LEED AP
Kalpa’s breadth of experience allows her to work as a knowledgeable and flexible member of our team. She has worked on a variety of building types and, with a background in urban planning as well as architecture, is able to provide a holistic and contextual approach to design. Kalpa brings a strong combination of education and practical experience, and is known as a very thorough and efficient designer. She is also very knowledgeable about historic preservation tax credits, and helps guide our clients through the process of obtaining them.
Since joining the firm in 2011, Kalpa has provided project management, architectural design, feasibility and planning studies, facilities assessments, document production, and construction administration. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture at Indraprastha University in Delhi, a Master of Architecture and a Master of Urban Planning both from the University of Illinois.
Kalpa is passionate about preserving historic buildings, and is an active (and founding) member of the Young Ohio Preservationists group with Heritage Ohio. She calls herself an “accidental artist,” and finds making clay pottery therapeutic. She also loves to travel to lesser known places, but most of all, she loves spending time with her son.
